Sabba's Mehendi & Bridal Portraits

Date – April 2015

Location - Oldham, Manchester

I was first approached about Sabba’s big days through Sana (a close friend of Farhana). Things went quickly from a phone conversation to a first meet in December 2014.

I was really excited to consult with Sabba as she was a part-time Asian fashion model for a couple of years and had plenty of experience of what work’s and what doesn’t in terms of posing. Although I had three years of experience in the industry, I still needed to work on how to pose people and find what works and doesn’t work for me.

As always, I used a bit of off camera flash to help me in my mission of mastering lights and take advantage of the opportunity of this booking.

My highlights from the mehendi have to be the shots that we took at a local park using natural light, the dancing and the last few shots at the end of the night where we got Sabba free for 20 minutes and set up some off camera flash.

The best part of the wedding day for me again have to be the shots from the park and also with Sabba on her stage using a mix of off camera to spice things up. For this reason, I’ve skipped the ceremony and focused on the getting ready and bridal portrait shots.

Hope you like the photos guys and please feel free a comment.
